This Privacy Policy explains how OnAssist AI ("OnAssist," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you use our website, dashboard, and AI chat/voice widget (together, the "Service"). It applies both to business customers who sign up for OnAssist and to visitors who interact with an OnAssist widget embedded on a customer's website.
Account information. When you sign up, we collect your name, email address, business name, and payment details (processed by our payment provider — we do not store full card numbers).
Agent configuration data. Documents, FAQs, website content, and other materials you upload to train your AI agent.
Conversation data. When a website visitor chats or speaks with an OnAssist agent, we collect the messages exchanged, any information the visitor voluntarily provides (such as their name, contact details, or questions), and metadata such as timestamp, page URL, approximate location, browser, and device type.
Usage data. Interactions with our dashboard, such as pages viewed, features used, and login activity.

OnAssist generates responses using large language models and voice models provided by third-party AI infrastructure providers. Conversation content may be transmitted to these providers solely to generate a response, subject to their own data-handling terms. We do not permit these providers to use customer conversation data to train their own general-purpose models, where such controls are available to us.
We do not sell personal information.
We retain account and conversation data for as long as an account is active, and for a reasonable period afterward to comply with legal, accounting, or reporting obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. Customers may request deletion of their agent data by contacting us.
We use industry-standard technical and organizational measures — including encryption in transit, access controls, and monitoring — to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export your personal information, or to object to or restrict certain processing. Residents of the European Economic Area, UK, and certain U.S. states (including California) may have additional rights under applicable law (such as the GDPR or CCPA/CPRA). OnAssist is based in Texas, USA and may process and store information in other countries. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for cross-border transfers of personal data.
